PELICAN part description

Pelican® is a leading designer and manufacturer of temperature-controlled packaging, high-performance protective cases, and advanced portable lighting systems. It traces back its roots to 1976 when it was first started by scuba enthusiast Dave Parker in his garage in Torrance, California. Using a twine, a hockey stick handle, and a metal weight, Parker was able to create a mini anchor that bobbed on the water’s surface and served as a diver’s marker location. He called this innovative safety tool the “Pelican Float.” Today, Pelican provides products not just for divers but also for firefighters, military personnel, photographer, police, and others who rely on its products to protect their gears and their lives.
