DEXTER AXLE 23-446 Part Description
Manufacturer
Dexter 12-1/4" x 5" 15,000lb (7 bolt flange) Left hand electric brake. Complete assembly. Self-adjusting design keeps shoes properly aligned for longer-lasting brake that requires less maintenance.
Mounts with 7 bolts (not included). Nuts-6-17, bolts-7-116, and washers-5-8 are sold separately.
» Was redesigned with forward self-adjusting feature in June 1996.
» Was redesigned with a cast backing plate in May 2000 replacing the stamped version.
- Fits Dexter 15,000lb axles(with cast backing and 7 bolt flange)
- For use with a 12 1/4" inside diameter and 5" deep drum
- Shoes are 5" wide
- Self-adjusting
- Left hand(driver's side)
- Complete assembly ready to install

To determine the size of the brake, you need 2 measurements. The first is the diameter of the brake(D). The second is the width of the shoe(W). It is good to take note of how many mounting bolts the brake has.
