These Heat Shrink Butt Connectors perform the same basic function as the regular butt connectors, but also give added protection. By heating the plastic housing, the connector creates a seal from the environment, and helps hold the wires in place. Optimal heating temperature is 230 degrees Fahrenheit, operating temperature is -40º to +230º Fahrenheit.
